The World Affairs Council of Las Vegas hosts this event with keynote speaker Ambassador José Alfredo Graça Lima, Consul General of Brazil in Los Angeles. He is a career diplomat with extensive experience leading Brazil's multilateral trade negotiations at the regional and global level, including for the World Trade Organization and Mercosul. He was promoted to Ambassador in 2002, became the Head of the Brazilian Mission to the European Union in Brussels, and has served previously the Consul General of Brazil in New York. The Latino Summit will discuss a host of issues affecting Nevada's Latino community, including education, immigration, health care and job creation. In addition, our discussions will address topics that may not always get the attention they deserve, such as juvenile justice, domestic violence, and the need for an accurate Census count.

"College: The Real Life" will give students and their parents a real-life perspective of obstacles they will face while preparing for college, as well as what to expect once they become college students. Presentations will include information on testing/admission exams, financial aid, life skills, college life, credit and money management, and parent information.
The Clark County Medical Society Alliance will host their 9th Annual Fashion Show at the Four Seasons Hotel. Proceeds will benefit the American Lung Association of Nevada's Camp SuperKids, a local children's asthma camp for children ages 7 to 12. Tory Burch is the featured fashion house for this year's event. Kissy Simmons, star of the Lion King at Mandalay Bay Hotel, is the celebrity model with Kendal Tenney as the celebrity host.
